Different Types of Hot Tubs
There are two main types of outdoor hot tubs, wood-fired or electric.
Glamping with a Wood-Fired Hot Tub.
To use a wood-fired hot tub, you will need to collect a fair amount of wood and light a fire. The warmth from the fire will heat the water inside the tub, through a series of metal pipes inside the wooden barrel.
Although this process is a little more time-consuming than pressing a button on an electric hot tub, there are many reasons to choose a wood-fired tub over an electric one!
Firstly, wood-fired tubs tend to be a bit more aesthetically pleasing than plastic coasted electric numbers.
They are also up to 6 times more powerful, meaning you’re likely to have your tub nice and toasty, much more quickly.
As wood is a renewable energy source, it also makes a wood-fired option much more eco-friendly than it’s electric counterparts.
Here are a few of our favourite glamping spots with a wood-fired hot tub in the UK!
